Code Ivy Consulting partnered with BeOut, a Paris-based startup, to build a platform that connects students, schools, and employers in the apprenticeship process. Before development began, we ran a series of consulting and discovery workshops with the founders to clarify the product’s value proposition, map the user journey for each stakeholder, and prioritise features for launch. These sessions ensured the platform aligned with both startup ambitions and user needs.

The application, developed with PHP Laravel, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery, incorporated Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to manage separate profiles for:

  • Students — create profiles, upload CVs, and apply to postings

  • High school administrators — validate eligibility and oversee student applications

  • Companies — post apprenticeship roles, review applicants, and provide feedback

  • System administrators — manage data integrity, roles, and reporting

Key features included:

  • Centralised apprenticeship job board accessible to students across the city

  • Application tracking dashboards for schools, companies, and students

  • Notifications to streamline communication across all stakeholders

  • Reporting and analytics for administrators to monitor engagement and outcomes

By blending strategic consulting with hands-on engineering, this project gave BeOut a scalable MVP that not only digitised the apprenticeship process but also set a strong foundation for future growth and expansion into other regions.
